Upgrading of Road Network from Gravel to Interlock

Over the past years, the Bethanie Village Council has made a determined effort to transform its basic infrastructure despite limited implementation of the previous Strategic Plan. One of the most notable developments is the upgrading of several key road segments from loose gravel surfaces to durable interlock paving. This initiative is part of the Council’s ongoing mission to create safer, cleaner, and more accessible public spaces for all residents.

Improving Mobility and Long-Term Durability

The transition from gravel to interlock paving has brought visible improvements to both mobility and the overall aesthetic of the village. The interlock bricks provide a smoother driving experience and help reduce dust, especially in windy seasons. They also require significantly less maintenance than gravel, making them a cost-effective solution over time.
The images above depict sections of the upgraded road, showing newly laid interlock surfaces and construction progress. These visuals stand as a reflection of the Council’s commitment to sustainable development and the modernization of local infrastructure.

Enhancing the Quality of Life

With roads now safer for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists, community members can enjoy easier access to services and improved daily mobility. The project aligns with the Council's broader vision of enhancing living conditions, promoting economic activity, and supporting future development efforts.
